Jalpaiguri, 17th August: Trinamool leader Mahua Gope has been appointed as the new president of the Jalpaiguri district Trinamool Congress.
Soon after her name was announced as the district president on Monday, many TMC leaders and activists visited her house to congratulate her.
After being elected as the party president, Mahua Gope thanked Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and said, “Didi has given the responsibility to an ordinary woman like me. I will work for the people with sincerity and honesty.”
