Siliguri, 28th September: The road near the Siliguri State Guest House is lying in a dilapidated condition for the past five years. Locals staged a road blockade today demanding repair of the said road.
It has been learned that the road next to Siliguri State Guest House leads to Samarnagar, Debidanga, and Milan more. It has been in a state of disrepair for the last five years. The protestors warned to block the road during Durga Puja if the BoA of Siliguri Municipal Corporation does not take any initiative soon.
Meanwhile, the Junction Traffic Guard, IC of Pradhan Nagar Police Station, and a large police force reached the spot after receiving the news. The protest was lifted after police officials promised to repair the road before Durga Puja.
