Left-Congress-ISF alliance releases election manifesto in Siliguri

Siliguri, 19th March: The Sanjukta Morcha(Left-Congress-ISF alliance) released its election manifesto during a press conference held on Friday at the Anil Biswas Bhawan. During the conference, the leaders took a jibe at the state’s ruling party and mentioned the challenges faced by them while working all these years.


Left candidate Ashok Bhattacharya, left leader Jibesh Sarkar, Congress leader Jeevan Majumder and other leaders were present at the press conference.

The manifesto assured to resolve drinking water problems as well as traffic congestion issues in Siliguri. The Left-Congress leaders also claimed that there are several important issues in the manifesto, this time.


Addressing the media, Ashok Bhattacharya stated that ignoring all obstacles, he carried out various development works in the city so far being SMC’s Mayor as well as Left MLA. He further alleged that the state government has not taken any appropriate measures to build new flyovers and prevent pollution in the city’s Mahananda river.
