Kharibari, 28th November: Kharibari police have busted a fake liquor manufacturing unit and seized liquor, spirit, chemical, bottle and labels in large quantities. Furthermore, a person has also been arrested by the police.
Addressing the media, Darjeeling District Rural DSP Achintya Gupta said that they received a tip-off regarding a few people running a fake liquor manufacturing unit in a rented house in Lohasingh Jote of Budaganj. Based on which, the police raided the said house.
During the operation, huge amounts of liquor, spirits, chemicals, bottles and label were recovered from the house. The estimated market value of the seized goods is said to be around 12-14 lakh rupees. The police are investigating the entire incident.
