Judge’s illegally parked car blocks way of Toy Train for almost an hour in Kurseong

Kurseong, 11th October: While the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) is making attempts in Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR) to boost the tourism sector post the COVID-19 pandemic, the “joy ride” came to a standstill for almost an hour in Kurseong today.

Reportedly, the Toy Train travelling from Darjeeling to Kurseong had to stop for about half an hour and wait for a vehicle parked on the railway track near Kurseong Motor Stand to clear the way.

According to the information, a ‘Judge’ nameplate was displayed on the said car and the driver was nowhere to be found. Due to the car parked on the railway tracks, traffic came to a standstill for a very long time. Apparently, the police administration, local people and RPF personnel tried their best to remove the vehicle from the tracks, however, to no avail. Finally, a truck was brought to the spot later on and the vehicle was dragged away from the spot. The people protested against the incident and demanded strict action against the driver of the vehicle.
