Siliguri, 30th January: The Congress Party Workers Conference was held, on Thursday, at Ward No 25 under Siliguri Municipal Corporation. Meanwhile, the Darjeeling District Congress President, Shankar Malakar, announced the name of Jayanta Saha (Jatan), the husband of Congress Councillor of Ward No 25, Seema Saha, as a probable candidate in the Siliguri Municipal Corporation election.
Meanwhile, Malakar hopes that Congress will win by many votes. During the event, blankets were distributed among 150 needy people on behalf of the Congress Committee to commemorate the 151st death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
