Jalpaiguri, 20th August: Under the leadership of IC of Kotwali Police station Bipul Sinha, strict surveillance is being kept by the Jalpaiguri Kotwali Police across different areas of the city to nab the lockdown violators.
Meanwhile, some youths were spotted fishing in the Karala River breaching the lockdown. To everyone’s surprise, they jumped into the river as soon as they spotted the police vehicle. Some youths who were playing cards in the open grounds also started running away as soon as they spotted the police.
Reportedly, the police detained several people on the charge of violating the lockdown protocols.
