Siliguri, 08th February: In a recent incident, a house was completely gutted by fire following a short circuit in a refrigerator in Devidanga Bazaar on Saturday morning. The fire brigade team rushed to the spot and managed to bring the fire under control after a prolonged effort.
According to reports, the fire broke out at the residence of a person named Francis in Devidanga Bazaar. It spread rapidly throughout the house after the short circuit, engulfing the entire structure.
On noticing the fire, family members immediately alerted the police and fire brigade. Fire brigade vehicles arrived swiftly and battled the flames for hours before bringing the situation under control.
By the time the fire was extinguished, all belongings in the house were reduced to ashes. The incident caused panic in the area.
