Mirik, 15th June: With the onset of the rainy season, a house in Mirik fell victim to strong winds and heavy rainfall on Wednesday night when a tree collapsed onto it. Prerna Ropal, a resident of Manju Tea Garden, along with her mother-in-law, suffered minor injuries from a falling tree branch. The incident occurred at approximately 2 o’clock in the morning.
Upon learning of the incident, the local people sprang into action, promptly coming to the aid of the affected individuals. They ensured their safety by swiftly relocating them to a secure location. The concerned authorities were promptly informed about the incident.
