Kalimpong, 26th July: A team from Gorkha Janamukti Morcha-02 Teesta branch met Patel and officials of APCO and handed over a memorandum highlighting numerous problems being faced by the people due to the Sivok-Rangpo railway line project on National Highway 10, which is still under construction.
The delegations made several demands including the cleaning of the Teesta bridge area after the construction work of the project, repairment of roads and drains, work of big machines should be stopped at night. They called for a speedy solution to the problems brought to light.
The GJM-02 team included Morcha Central Committee member Bishal Rai, Teesta party coordinator Sharan Chhetri, Santosh Pradhan, Suren Lohar, Sushil Mangar, Daluram Sharma, Sanjay Karkidoli, Kishore Mukhia, Anil Khati and others.
