Siliguri, 01st September: The Ghoshpukur outpost police, acting on a tip-off, rescued 20 cattle before being smuggled. Police arrested three people in the incident. The arrested accused have been identified as Khurshid Ansari, MD Azim, and MD Juber Alam.
It has been learned that the police raided the Gandhi More area and detained a pickup van. After searching, 20 cattle were rescued. During interrogation, the accused individuals said that the cattle were being transported for smuggling purposes. They were sent to Siliguri court on Wednesday.
