Four youths flee after abandoning an unidentified body in Siliguri’s Chota Fapri; investigation underway

Siliguri, 08th October: In a recent development, the body of an unidentified person was found in the Chota Fapri area under the jurisdiction of the Bhakti Nagar police station, causing a stir in the locality.


According to local sources, four youths arrived on a scooty during a morning walk on Tuesday. After roaming around the Chota Fapri area, they allegedly threw the body at a deserted location and fled the scene. Upon receiving news of the incident, officers from the Bhakti Nagar police station arrived at the site, recovered the body, and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for a post-mortem examination.

Meanwhile, based on statements from local residents, the police have initiated a search for the youths on the scooty, utilizing CCTV footage. Reports from police sources indicate that the deceased has multiple injury marks on various parts of the body, prompting the police to register a murder case.


Additionally, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) and Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) of Siliguri Metropolitan Police have inspected the scene. Orders have been issued to conduct the post-mortem of the deceased using videography. The police are currently examining the CCTV footage from the entire area and have commenced further investigations.
