Siliguri, 14th October: NJP Police have arrested a youth identified as Subho Roy for allegedly obstructing government work and manhandling an on-duty police officer in Mamata Para, under Fulbari I Gram Panchayat.
According to police sources, on Tuesday evening, ASI Manoj Majumdar of NJP Police Station visited Mamata Para to investigate a case. During the video recording of information related to the investigation, Subho Roy allegedly obstructed the officer. He is also accused of getting into a scuffle with the on-duty police personnel.
Following the incident, police arrested the accused and took him to the police station. Investigators are examining whether anyone else was involved in the incident.
The accused was produced before the Jalpaiguri court on Wednesday. Further investigation is underway.
