Siliguri, 30th March: In a significant breakthrough, the New Jalpaiguri (NJP) police station has arrested four miscreants who were in plans to execute a robbery. The arrested miscreants are Subal Roy, Apan Das, Santosh Das and Chhotu Roy.
As per reports, during patrolling late on Friday night, the police spotted four individuals at a ground in Gora More area. After witnessing the police presence, the miscreants attempted to flee, however the police initiated a chase and apprehended them. Following this, sharp weapons including rods were recovered from their possession.
Preliminary analysis of the police indicates that the miscreants were in plans to execute a robbery in the city. On Saturday, the accused have been produced before the Jalpaiguri court. At present, the police are engaged in a detailed investigation of the entire incident.
