Four houses damaged in wild elephant attack in Ambari’s Shib Nath Para near Baikunthpur forest

Rajganj, 08th February: A tragic incident surfaced where four houses were damaged in a wild elephant attack in Shib Nath Para adjacent to Baikunthpur forest of Aambari in Rajganj block. The incident left the area residents terrified.


According to reports, On Wednesday night, two elephants wreaked havoc in four houses of Shibnath Para and destroyed food items including rice and pulses. Significantly, the residents managed to flee from their houses and saved their lives.

Upon receiving the news, the forest personnel of Ambari range arrived at the spot. In this regard, the beat officer stated that due to scarcity of food in the forest, elephants are moving towards the rural residential areas, while highlighting the latest incident. He added that the affected families would be assisted as per the rules of the Forest Department.
