Fulbari, 08th September: A severe fire broke out at the warehouse of a construction company in the Sipaipara area of Fulbari. A significant portion of the warehouse was gutted in the fire, triggering panic among local residents as the area surrounding the warehouse is densely populated.
Local residents alleged that the fire could not be brought under control even after a fire engine reached the spot. Later, another fire engine arrived and joined the firefighting operation. They claimed that if the fire had been brought under control quickly and at the right time, the extent of the damage could have been reduced.
Residents also raised questions over the absence of adequate firefighting arrangements or a fire safety system at the warehouse of such a large construction company. They alleged that the fire would not have assumed such a severe form if proper firefighting arrangements had been in place.
