Siliguri, 11th July: Siliguri’s Dada Bhai Sporting Club located at Deshbandhu Para, on Tuesday, started preparations for the Durga Puja by organizing the customary rituals of ‘Khutti Puja’. Reportedly, the Club, in Durga Puja 2023, would be beautifying the Puja pandal with a theme, comprising the cottage industry of Bengal crafted by the artists of Siliguri.
Today, the Khutti Puja was performed in the presence of Ranjan Sarkar, the President of the Puja Committee and Deputy Mayor of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC). Speaking at the occasion, the Puja Committee President promised of presenting an attractive Puja pandal as compared to the previous year. He added that awareness programs on dengue and other issues would also be organized on all days of the Durga Puja.
