Three miscreants arrested in Siliguri before executing criminal plan

Siliguri, 03rd July: Bhakti Nagar police arrested three miscreants on Wednesday night in Siliguri’s Salugara area before they could carry out a planned robbery. The accused have been identified as Amjad Ahmed, Mohammad Habib, and Kamal Thapa.


According to police sources, around ten individuals had gathered near the Jeevan Deep Complex in Salugara. Upon receiving this information, plainclothes officers launched an operation and managed to nab three suspects, while the rest fled the spot.

During questioning, the trio admitted they were preparing for a robbery in the city. Police also recovered tools meant for the crime, three mobile phones, and a motorcycle from their possession.


The accused were produced before the Jalpaiguri court on Thursday. Police have initiated a detailed investigation into the matter.
