CPI(M) and Congress celebrated ‘Save the Constitution Day’

Siliguri, 26th January: Communist Party of India (Marxist) and Congress jointly celebrated the 'Save the Constitution Day' to protect the Indian Constitution.


The Congress leader and Naxalbari MLA Shankar Malakar stated that the Central Government is trying to bring the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) constitution by breaking the Indian constitution. Therefore, such an initiative has been taken on behalf of the CPI(M) and Congress to protect secularism. He also opposed the National Register of Citizens (NRC), National Population Register (NPR) and Citizenship (Amendment) Act 2019 (CAA).

On the other hand, Ashok Bhattacharya stated that the program is being observed all over India,today. Along with the Central Government, he also criticized the State Government.
