Siliguri, 09th May: In view of the prevailing coronavirus situation in the city, the IC of Pradhannagar Police Station Subhashish Chaki held a meeting with the authorities of nursing homes that are situated under Pradhan Nagar Police Station.
Subhashish Chaki said, “The situation in the city is alarming in the second wave of the pandemic. Everyone has to work together during this time. In this situation, the patients and their families are facing various problems in different nursing homes situated under Pradhan Nagar police station. The family members of the patients are filing several complaints.”
He added that the representatives of the nursing home should help the infected patients at this time. Medical services cannot be stopped for money. He also said that the problem related to the cost of treatment should be resolved as soon as possible. It is also necessary to provide information regarding the total number of beds and vacant beds as per government directives. He gave a strict message to all the nursing homes against which there are continuous allegations. He said that any further allegation against nursing homes will be dealt with severely.
Chaki also assured that in the coming days, the police will solve all problems faced by the nursing home authorities.
