Siliguri, 17th August: Based on a tip-off, the Matigara police, on Sunday night, launched operations and arrested two drug peddlers near Barsana hotel under Matigara police station. Mohammad Basiruddin and his wife Moni were travelling on a motorcycle with the drugs.
Reportedly, 285 grams of brown sugar worth 3 lakh rupees were recovered from their possession.
When the duo was produced before the Siliguri court on Monday, the judge ordered 10 days of police custody for Mohammad and his wife Moni will be kept in jail custody.
