Jalpaiguri, 04th January: The electric train service from New Jalpaiguri to New Cooch Behar is likely to start within this month. Northeast Frontier Railway Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) Mohammad Latief Khan, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Kanver Sain Jain of Alipurduar Division and other railway officials today took stock of the railway infrastructure at Jalpaiguri Road station.
Addressing the media after inspection, DRM K. S. Jain said that the work of the electric line has been completed and all the infrastructure of Cooch Behar railway station was examined today. Reportedly, with the green signal from the CRS Latief Khan, the electric trains will run on this route from January.
