Siliguri, 22nd April: A college student jumped off the Teesta river, this morning. The student has been identified as Nanit Prasad, a resident of the Prakash Nagar area.
As per the reports, Nanit, with his friends, went to Sevoke this morning. He suddenly jumped into the river from Coronation Bridge. After the incident, his family and acquaintances reached the spot. The matter was also reported to Sevoke outpost police.
The student’s family alleged that the police reached the spot late and that no speed boat has been deployed to search for the lad.
On the other hand, it has been learned that Nanit had an argument with his mother this morning. Following which, he left the house with his friends.
