Alipurduar, 10th December: The road near the Alipurduar University is undergoing repair work followed by the Chief Minister’s discontentment concerning the dilapidated state of the road. On Saturday night, the Alipurduar municipality initiated immediate construction work.
According to reports, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in her ongoing visit to North Bengal travelled to Alipurduar by foot to connect with the civilians. During her travel, the CM arrived at the intersection of ward number 3 and 19 under the Alipurduar Municipality. Reportedly, around 150 meters of stretch of the road has been in disrepair for a prolonged period. As a result, the CM expressed her dissatisfaction with the road prompting the Alipurduar municipality to undertake immediate action.
In this regard, the locals claimed that the road has been in poor shape for a long time. However, the CM’s visit to the area and dissatisfaction with the condition of the road led to immediate repair work.
