Siliguri, 08th August: The Darjeeling District Committee of CITU took out a rally in Siliguri to demand the repeal of the Labor Act of the Central Government. Today CITU took out a protest rally from Lalmohan Maulik Niranjan Ghat in Siliguri.
CITU District Secretary Saman Pathak led the rally that reached the front of the Siliguri Divisional Office after marching through various routes in the city. However, there were huge police stationed there that stopped them as soon as they reached SDO office. Nonetheless, the rally went ahead by breaking the barricade, and the members of the organization protested in front of the said office.
