Siliguri, 19th June: Continuous heavy rainfall led to severe waterlogging in Champasari area under Ward No. 46 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation on Thursday night, disrupting normal life and forcing residents to move to safer locations.
Amid the situation, police from Pradhan Nagar Police Station carried out rescue operations in the affected locality, assisting residents trapped in waterlogged areas.
During the rescue efforts, a child was seen carrying frightened dogs through waist-deep water to a safer place, ensuring their protection amid the flooding.
The incident has drawn attention from locals, highlighting both the ongoing rescue operations by police and the child’s act of compassion during the crisis.
