Chairperson of Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad held a meeting with SJDA officials

Siliguri, 19th September: In regard to the development of four blocks of Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad, the councilor has given a proposal to the Siliguri Jalpaiguri Development Authority. A meeting was held at the SJDA office today. During this, SMP councilor Arun Ghosh, assistant councilor Roma Reshmi Ekka, Trinamool Congress’s Darjeeling district assembly leader Papiya Ghosh, and others were present.


Reportedly, in today’s meeting, a total of 14 proposals were presented for the development of four blocks of the area. Chairperson Arun Ghosh proposed various development works which include roads, corvettes, drains, markets, lights, and drinking water. At the same time, SJDA chairperson Saurabh Chakraborty has given assurance in this regard.

Apart from this, the members of the Mahakuma Parishad were also felicitated by the Siliguri Jalpaiguri Development Authority. In regard to this, Saurabh Chakraborty said that after the formation of the new board, cooperation has been sought in the development of the city. He further said that even before this they have carried out several development works. In the coming days and in the interest of the public, development works will be done in the Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad area, he further assured.
