Siliguri, 15th January: In a display of honesty and integrity, the Junction Traffic Guard police returned a lost purse to its owner at Darjeeling More. The bag, filled with money and important documents, was found by a police officer on duty.
According to reports, a man from Mirik had come to Siliguri to pay his daughter’s school fees. While heading to the school, he accidentally dropped the bag at Darjeeling More. Meanwhile, the Junction Traffic Guard police were carrying out their duties as usual. Officer Ashok found the purse on the road and immediately handed it over to his superior, the IC.
The purse contained cash, an ATM card, a license, and other essential documents. The police then used the details from the documents to contact the owner and called him to Darjeeling More.
The relieved owner was grateful to the police for their quick action in returning the lost items. He expressed his gratitude to the Junction Traffic Guard police for their sincere efforts.
