Rajganj, 02nd September: Sixteen people were injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a gas tanker at the Sariam area in Siliguri-Jalpaiguri National Highway, on Wednesday morning. The injured individuals were rescued and rushed to the hospital.
According to local sources, a private bus heading towards Siliguri from Dinhata collided head-on with a tanker advancing from the opposite direction.
Upon receiving the news, the Rajganj Police and a fire engine from Jalpaiguri reached the spot shortly after. The rescue operation was carried out under the leadership of CI Dipajjwal Bhowmik. Police have started an investigation into the whole incident.
