BSF bust smuggling of 2,125 bottles of banned cough syrups and 22 cattle

Siliguri, 04th January: Border Security Force, Frontier Headquarters North Bengal and its subordinate Battalions seized 2,125 banned cough syrups, 22 cattle, and many other items, last night. According to the information received from the Deputy Inspector General of Frontier Headquarters, Rajiv Ranjan Sharma, the Jawans were deployed at the borders despite the cold weather and fog.


The Jawans seized 2,125 bottles of banned cough syrup and several other items, including 22 cattle, last night, whose values have been estimated to be Rs 5,72,044. The smugglers were trying to transport all the items from India to Bangladesh.
