Siliguri, 19 November: Sensation prevailed after the body of a man with multiple head injuries was found today afternoon. The incident surfaced from Bansbari area of Section No. 07 in Gulma Tea Estate adjacent to Milan More under Pradhan Nagar police station.
According to the information, after sighting the body lying in the tea garden’s drain, the locals informed the Pradhan Nagar police station immediately. On receiving the news, the Pradhan Nagar police reached the spot and recovered the body and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for postmortem.
Meanwhile, ACP West Chinmay Mittal also reached the spot to take a stock of the situation. The surrounding areas were also searched with the help of a Search Dog. It has been primarily assumed that the person died after being hit by a stone.
It is to be noted that on October 06, the body of a man with severe head injuries from being hit by a large stone was recovered from Siliguri Junction area. Since the incident, the identity of the deceased and the accused was constantly being searched. The Pradhan Nagar police, after a month from the incident, successfully unveiled the mystery of ‘Stoneman’ murder case and arrested a youth identified as Kamala Pandit in connection to the incident.
