Siliguri, 22nd January: The Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) flag hoisted in Ward No. 34 under Siliguri Municipal Corporation was allegedly torn down. The incident created a stir in the entire area on Friday morning.
BJP leaders accused the opposition parties of tearing the flags at night and dumped them into a sewer at the roadside. A written complaint has been lodged at the NJP police station. They demanded the arrest of the culprits. Police have started an investigation into the incident.
