Siliguri, 19th March: Matigara-Naxalbari Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Anandamoy Barman kick-started electioneering in Naxalbari, on Thursday.
Likewise, on Friday morning, Barman offered prayers at Naxalbari Sashan Kalibari. Raising the ‘Jai Shri Ram’ slogan, the BJP candidate started his campaign and toured various areas including Naxalbari bazaar. He then interacted with the locals and appealed for their support.
He later addressed the media and expressed optimism over winning the elections with a record number of votes in the Matigara-Naxalbari assembly constituency.
