Siliguri, 20th February: During a press conference on Saturday, the Bharatiya Tribal Party’s (BTP) North Bengal Divisional President Leos Hasapurti said that BTP will field candidates in six assembly constituencies in the upcoming assembly polls.
Leos Hasapurti said that the tribal community has several demands including a pay hike for the tea garden workers. However, their demands have not yet been met. Hence, such an initiative has been taken. He maintained that candidates will also be provided in other centres of West Bengal.
