Siliguri, 08th February: A Jan Aahar programme was organized by the Bengal Chemist and Druggist Association (BCDA) today at Siliguri Hill cart Road. During this, the BCDA commemorated 100 years of its existence. Today, under the programme, about 4 to 5 thousand people were fed khichdi.
Vijay Gupta, President of BCDA, Siliguri branch, said that on February 9, the institution will complete 100 years. Since February 9 falls on Sunday, the Jan Aahar Kendra was organized on Saturday itself. It was further mentioned that in the coming days, a blood donation camp, health check-up camp, distribution of food items to the patients in the hospital and various social programmes will be organized by the BCDA.
