Bengal bi-weekly lockdown: Strict surveillance being kept by police in Siliguri

Siliguri, 20th August: A complete lockdown is being observed across the state today as per the Bengal’s ‘2-days a week’ lockdown guidelines.


Strict surveillance is being kept by the police in different parts of the city to monitor the lockdown situation, since this morning.

The Pradhan Nagar Police under the leadership of IC Shubhashis Chaki launched operations in different areas including Regulated Market, Champasari, and Devidanga. Several people were detained on charges of breaching the lockdown protocols.


Reportedly, 22 people have been detained so far for breaching lockdown.
