Bengal bi-weekly lockdown: Strict surveillance being kept by police in Siliguri

Siliguri, 21st August: A complete lockdown is being observed across the state today as per the Bengal’s biweekly lockdown guidelines.


Strict surveillance is being kept by the police in different parts of the city to monitor the lockdown situation, since this morning. While the city’s main roads wore a deserted look, several people were spotted roaming around the streets breaching lockdown protocols.

Reportedly, operations were launched by the Pradhan Nagar police under the leadership of IC Shubhashis Chaki. Numerous people were also detained on charges of breaching the lockdown protocols.
