Alipurduar, 21st June: Asim Kumar Lama (Pakhrin) left the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He was the Alipurduar district secretary of BJP.
Lama said that he is heading to Kolkata today, where he will join the Trinamool Congress (TMC).
Incidentally, BJP’s Alipurduar district president Ganga Prasad Sharma said that he too will leave the party and join TMC.
