Siliguri, 05th June: After holding a two-stage meeting with the task force officials and former councilors of 14 wards in Jalpaiguri District on Friday, Ashok Bhattacharya stated that measures are being taken to free Siliguri of coronavirus soon.
The meeting was attended by Siliguri SDO Sumanta Sahay, Jalpaiguri SDO office officials, SMC Commissioner Sonam Wangdi Bhutia, police officials, fire brigade officials, health officials, and other members.
Keeping in mind the increasing positive cases in the city, Ashok Bhattacharya adopted a strategy to deal with it. He stated that a plan has been adopted today and from now on, the administrative officials and councilors will work together and help the city combat the pandemic. Bhattacharya also urged the ward committees to actively carry out their responsibilities. He is hopeful that the people will win the war against the deadly virus soon.
