Rajganj, 22nd March: 1 person was killed and another injured in a collision between two trucks on Sunday morning. The incident took place in the Bandhunagar area underSiliguri Jalpaiguri National Highway.
As per the report, a cargo truck collided head-on with a large bamboo-laden truck, killing the driver of the former and injuring the assistant driver of the latter. Upon receiving the news, the Ambari check post police and a fire engine from Siliguri arrived at the spot.
The body was sent to the North Bengal Medical College-Hospital for an autopsy. The injured was shifted to the Rajganj Rural Hospital.
The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
