Siliguri, 05th December: ABVP staged a protest in front of the North Bengal University alleging that the land of the said university has been handed over to a private company.
Today the ABVP members protested in front of Gate No. 2 of the university and later met the Vice-Chancellor. ABVP leaders further warned to launch a massive agitation if the transfer deal is not revoked.
At the same time, the Matigara police were present on the spot to control the situation. Meanwhile, the Vice-Chancellor of the university said that the land is not being transferred.
