Siliguri, 14th July: The Bhaktinagar police, acting on a tip-off, launched operations at a shop in Salugara on Tuesday evening, during which 24 mobile phones without any valid documents were seized. A person, identified as Bidu Chettri (31) of Jyoti Nagar was arrested in the incident. He will be presented at the court today.
Reportedly, Chettri failed to produce any valid documents of the seized mobiles. A specific case under 379/411/414 IPC is being initiated. An investigation has been launched into the incident.
