Islampur, 25th June: Sensation prevailed after a teenager, identified as Utpal Sinha (14) died after being struck by lightning in Debra village under Chakulia police station. Meanwhile, the deceased’s father, Nanda Kumar Sinha (40), was severely injured in the incident.
According to sources, the tragic incident occurred when Nanda Kumar Sinha went fishing with his son in a nearby pond. The locals rescued them and took the duo to the primary health center, where the doctors declared Utpal dead. The injured father is currently undergoing treatment.
Police have launched an investigation into the whole incident.
