Darjeeling, 13th March: This year, 1381 high school candidates are appearing for the Higher Secondary Examination under Darjeeling Subdivision. The examination, which commenced from yesterday, was conducted peacefully at various examination centers in Darjeeling sub-division.
According to information provided by the concerned department, the examination commenced in 19 educational institutes under 4 Centers of the Darjeeling sub-division. Out of the 1381 examinees, 598 are male and 792 are female candidates.
As per the information, strict security arrangements have been adopted in all the examination centers and medical teams have also been deployed. Two buses have also been designated for the examinees, free of cost, by the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM). One of the two bus services is available from Ghoom while the other from Lebong Bazar to Darjeeling.
