‘Zero Bill Policy’ introduced in Rajganj Rural Hospital

Rajganj, 03rd February: On Saturday, the ‘Zero Bill Policy’ was introduced in Rajganj Rural Hospital. The initiative was launched in the presence of Sushant Roy, Joint Secretary of West Bengal State Doctors’ Council. During this, Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy, Rajganj Panchayat Samiti President Rupali Dey Sarkar, BMOH Rahul Roy, and Panikauri Gram Panchayat Pradhan Papiya Sarkar were present.


According to reports, in alignment with the new initiative in Rajganj Rural Hospital, a bill would be provided mentioning the amount of expenses incurred during the treatment of a hospitalized patient at the time of discharge. On this day, to mark the launch of the scheme, a bill and a sapling were handed over to the patients discharged from the Hospital.

In this regard, Sushant Roy stated that the ‘Zero Bill Policy’ has already been launched at various hospitals of South Bengal. Beginning now, a bill would be provided to the patient admitted to the hospital at the time of discharge.


He added that the scheme is hereby launched to spread the message of support from the government. Further, he stated that this is the first instance that the scheme has been introduced in North Bengal. Even in the past, Rajganj Rural Hospital has set examples for other hospitals through numerous achievements. He believes that the scheme will highlight the way for other hospitals.
