Karandighi, 11th September: Sensation prevailed after a youth lost his life in a lightning strike that struck Karandighi block’s Palsa village under North Dinajpur district. The deceased has been identified as Ashraful Haque (35), a resident of the Mehendabari village under Lahutara- 2 Gram Panchayat.
According to sources, the tragic incident occurred when Ashraful was working in the aforementioned area.
Upon receiving the news, the Dalkhola police reached the spot, recovered the body, and sent it for an autopsy. The police are investigating the matter.
