Siliguri, 01st July: A 21-year-old youth identified as Kamal Das allegedly died by suicide in the Tikia Para area of Siliguri, sparking shock and sorrow in the local community.
According to local sources, Kamal, who worked as a driver and had quit his studies a few years ago, was found hanging from a high drain in front of his residence. His family and neighbours stated that there was no visible disturbance or tension in the family, making the incident all the more puzzling.
On receiving information, Siliguri police reached the spot, recovered the body, and sent it to Siliguri District Hospital for post-mortem. The exact reason behind the tragic act remains unknown. Police have initiated an investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding the incident.
