Rajganj, 24th April: A tragic road accident took place late on Sunday night in the Chauli Bari area of Rajganj, claiming the life of a young man who had just returned from a weaning program. The victim, Sanjay Roy (31), was a resident of Kundar Dighi area and worked as a mason under a contractor. He is survived by his wife, a child, and his parents.
According to the family, Sanjay died after being hit by a dumper while returning home on his scooty from the Ambari-Chauli Bari state road at around 1 am. On Sunday evening, he had gone to the weaning program with his wife at his contractor’s house in a nearby village. After dropping his wife off at home he returned to the ceremony.
As soon as the news of the incident was received, the Ambari Out Post Police and Sanjay’s family members rushed to the spot. Sanjay was taken to Rajganj Rural Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. The local people alleged that a large number of dumpers ply the road, and sometimes accidents happen due to reckless driving at high speed. The entire incident has cast a pall of gloom over the area. The police are currently investigating the entire incident.
