Siliguri, 15th February: In a significant breakthrough, the police have arrested a youth with a country-made pistol in Siliguri. The arrested accused has been identified as Raj Kumar Paswan (20), a resident of Matangini Colony of Tikia Para in Siliguri.
As per reports, on Wednesday, acting on a tip-off, the Siliguri Police launched an operation in an area adjacent to the Bagrakot bus stand, apprehended a youth based on suspicion, and interrogated him. During the subsequent search, a round of ammunition and a country-made pistol were recovered, which prompted his arrest.
On Thursday, the accused was produced before the Siliguri court. At present, the police are engaged in a detailed investigation of the entire matter.
