Fulbari, 26th November: A young man accused of burgling a paan shop located at Natun Haat Fulbari was thrashed by the locals.
The theft reportedly took place this morning at Gopal Sen’s paan shop. As soon as the shop owner reached the shop after getting the news of the incident, he found the lock of the shop broken and many items stolen. On searching the area, he found the said youth in an intoxicated condition. The tools used in the theft and the stolen goods were also found in his possession.
As the news spread like wildfire, the local people reached the spot, tied the youth up and thrashed him. NJP police also reached the site and the locals handed over the accused youth to the police. They alleged that theft has been taking place in the area for many years and demanded the police to increase vigilance and take strict action.
